Building in public, starting now
Why I’m putting the work — and the mess behind it — out in the open.
This is the first entry. If you’re reading it, the site is live — which means the plan survived contact with reality at least once.
I spend most of my time somewhere between OSINT, red teaming, and AI agents. Those three overlap more than people expect: all of them are really about turning scattered, public signal into something you can act on. A flight transponder, a certificate-transparency log, a seismic feed — individually they’re trivia. Correlated, they’re a picture.
What this journal is for
Two things:
- A record of the build. I want the dead ends written down while they still sting, not sanded smooth after the fact.
- A forcing function. It’s harder to hand-wave past a problem when you’ve committed to explaining it to someone else.
What’s next
The near-term focus is ShadowBroker — pulling open intelligence into one interface and letting agents hunt for correlations across domains that don’t normally talk to each other. I’ll write about the architecture as it firms up: the ingestion layer, how the agents are scoped, and where passive recon ends and something louder begins.
More soon. — H
